Waterfall Track

After our adventure on the roof of Australia, we took a leisurely stroll through bushland and refreshed ourselves by a beautiful waterfall.

The Waterfall track is a 6 kilometer loop trail that follows the Sawpit Creek. It is very well sign posted and commences at the northern end of the Sawpit Creek picnic ground, There is plenty of parking and picnic table. The Sawpit Creek Camping and Caravan Park is nearby.

The Underpass!

The Waterfall Track commences at Sawpit Creek. After walking through the underpass beneath Kosciouszko Road we emerged into bushland and followed the track through stands of eucalypts and heathy grasslands.

Rennix Trail and return.

Day 2.

Today we drove down the Valley and walked 13 kilometres return along the Rennix Trail.

We didn't see any Porcupine on Rocks but we did see a radio reflector on rock.

Another great day's walk. (some more photos will follow)

Porcupine Rocks and return.

Day 1.

We headed off from the lodge at 9.30 along the short cut to the start of the Porcupine Rocks Trail.

The trail lead us through the Rocky Creek Valley which was lined with skeletons of burnt snow gums and giant boulders which made a dramatic landscape.

Tiny native flowers barely visible dotted our path through the Alpine bog.
